Blake Griffin – 2011 SEMA Show – 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid

The 2011 SEMA Show featured this Kia Optima Hybrid that was inspired by Blake Griffin whatever that means. The car features his name on the hood and a basketball hoop in the trunk. The build was completed by West Coast Customs in Los Angeles, California. The sensible hybrid was placed in the official Kia Motors booth with this basketball style wrap. This whole build was probably a nice thank you present to Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers after he did this with a Kia Optima at the 2011 NBA All-Star Dunk contest. Jeff Gordon Purchased A Chevy Volt

"The new Chevrolet Volt is sweet" says NASCAR racing champion Jeff Gordon. Many celebrities are purchasing these Chevy Volts, even Jay Leno bought one a while back. for the first 35 miles this car is driven, it will be powered completly by a battery. After the charge is dead, the Volt turns to gas and gets 35 mpg city/40 mpg highway. Pretty cool concept!

Ben Affleck Bought A Luxurious Lexus LS Hybrid

Ben Afflex was spotted with Jennifer Garner hoping stepping into their new smoky granite mica colored Lexus LS Hybrid, which sports an MSRP of: $111,350. This car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine and a high-output, electric-drive motor, which is capable of producing a total of 438 horsepower. Not only does it have all-wheel drive, but it also has the capability to store energy when using the brakes on the car. Assisted parking, and being able to switch to purely driving on electricity are just a small list of what it also has to offer. The list of Add-ons is pretty lengthy... having a heated steering wheel is even an option! Luxury meets technology, sounds like a good choice Mr. Affleck.

Tobey Maguire Picks Up A Hybrid Benz

Tobey Maguire, more widely known as the actor who played as Spider man in the current series, recently picked up a brand new Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid. It’s the first Mercedes with a hybrid drive. With a price tag just above $90,000, it can't really be beat! 19 miles in the city, and 26 on the highway isn't too bad either for something with this much class.

Actress Jessica Alba got pulled over in Los Angeles the other day in your factory GMC Yukon Hybrid. The Yukon is just a fancy version of the Chevrolet Tahoe under the GMC brand. The Yukon Hybrid does score 21/22 MPG which is quite underwhelming as far as hybrids go.

Paris Hilton Ticketed on Santa Monica Blvd. in her Cadillac Escalade Hybrid

2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid driven by Paris Hilton

TMZ reported that Paris Hilton was in the bike land with her Cadillac Escalade Hybrid down Santa Monica Blvd. in the bike lane trying to pass people. LAPD caught wind of it and cited her for "unsafe passing." In typical fashion they cropped the photos so it's hard to tell what she was driving but we are pretty sure this Cadillac Escalade Hybrid was the vehicle she did the deet in. Next time she should try passing those cars in her Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren which would garner some more entertainment.
