Kanye West And Jay-Z “Otis” Maybach Auction Only Fetched $60,000

Last month we posted about the Maybach that was welded and cut carelessly for the Kayne and Jay-Z "Otis" music video to be up on the auction block. The company holding the auction guessed that the reformed Maybach would fetch around $100,000 to $150,000 or more. Sadly, the Maybach only fetched $60,000 in a very short amount of time. Owner and president of DUB magazine stated during an August 2011 MTV news interview that "The thing is, the value of that car is nothing now, you couldn't drive it on the street," due to the extensive work done cutting the roof, welding the doors, etc. Maybe the man who purchased it for purely nostalgia? The fact that he could? Why do you think he bought the car?

Kanye West And Jay-Z Auctioning Maybach 57 From Otis Music Video

Remember that $350,000 Maybach 57 that was ripped apart and modified into something from the future? The Maybach 57 is now up for auction, with all proceeds going to help the Save the Children charity organization. The luxury sedan was destroyed for the sake of art in a music video clip performed by Jay-Z and Kanye West for the remake of the classic song Otis. Auction firm Phillips de Pury & Company is managing the sale and predicts the Maybach 57 will fetch more than $100,000 when the auction takes place in New York City on March 8th.

YMCMB rapper Birdman has done it again! Remember last week when we blogged about Birdman purchasing three cars for himself, Lil Wayne, and for Mack Maine? Well, guess he had save the fourth gift to be very special. Birdman purchased a 2012 Maybach which he gifted to his older brother, Slim, valued at a whopping $600,000! Knowing how they do it at YMCMB, the coolest custom feature they added to this Maybach has to be a electro-transparent rear roofs. Have your driver take you out for the weekend, lay back in your reclining seats, and enjoy having a home theater in the back of your raised roof car. Luxurious right?

Birdman Drops 8 Million Dollars On A Maybach Excelero

Not much to say about this purchase, other than the amount he dropped on this car. Birdman recently posted this on his twitter, saying "It's the new Maybach, I gotta have it!"

Birdman Drops Just Under 2 Million Dollars On A 2011 Maybach Landaulet

As you may know, the president of cash money records, Birdman, placed a one million dollar bet on the super bowl this year that the Green Bay Packers would win. After winning the bet, Birdman went out and bought a 2011 Maybach Landaulet. Currently, only three of these have been made to date. Te price of this car being made is $1.35 million dollars, before taxes! Check out the video below, showing of this beautiful piece of luxury. Notice the Bugatti Veyron being washed in front of his tour bus as well.
