Kim Jong Il’s Black Mercedes-Benz 600 Landaulet

The North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il passed away from a heart attack but his collection of Mercedes-Benz will live on in North Korea for some time. His got the love from his father and has a huge collection of Mercedes cars that people have said he purchased with UN relief money and other illegal means.

Our favorite car in his collection is by far the Mercedes-Benz 600 Landaulet which can be seen above. For those of you not familiar with a Landaulet, it is a car body style that has an enclosed sedan or coupé with a folding top at the extreme rear quarter, over the rear seat. The 600 was the top of the line car built by Mercedes-Benz in a post World War II area and might only be matched today by Maybach 62 Landaulet.
